  The Sabah Ports Authority (SPA) is a state statutory body 
  established in 1968 by the SPA Enactment 1967 which was repealed 
  and replaced by the SPA Enactment 1981. 
  The objective of SPA is to provide, maintain and manage efficient 
  port services and facilities in the State; and for all matters 
  incidental thereto and connected therewith as enacted in the SPA

Sakata Port
 Sakata Port - Japan Web site. Sakata Port is located at position 139°48'E,
  38°56'N, where the Mogami River runs into the Japan Sea. It has a 
  long history as the key port for transportation along the Japan Sea 
  Coast as well as the Mogami River.
  The port, supported by Sendai, the city with the largest expenditures 
  in the Tohoku District, is also expected to play a more important role 
  as the key port for distribution among "the Japan Sea Basin countries" 
  in the new age.

Shahid Rajaie Port Complex
 Shahid Rajaie Port Complex - Iran Web site. Shahid Rajaee Port Complex 
  is located 20 km. West of Bandar Abbas City, approximately at Lat 27°07’N.
  Long 056°04'E. at the entrance to the Persian Gulf, at the Strait of 
  Hormuz and north of Qeshm Island. This port is 40 km. from Bandar Abbas 
  Airport and 1,563 Km. From Tehran. Shahid Rajaee Port Complex is linked 
  through roads, railways and airways to Tehran, other parts of Iran and 
  the Far East. 
  Berthing facilities are as follows:
  Quay No.1: Container Terminal, consists of 5 berths of combined length 
  1000 meters and depth of 12.6 meters. 
  Quay No.2: Multi-purpose, consists of 2 berths of combined length 
  400 meters and depth of 11 meters. 
  Quay No.3: Heavy cargoes, consists of 4 berths of combined length 
  770 meters and depth of 13.5 meters. 
  Quay No.4: General cargo, consists of 11 berths of combined length 
  2200 meters and depth of 11 meters. 
  Quay No.5: Liquid, consists of 2 berths of combined length 400 meters 
  and depth of 12 meters. 
  Quay No.6: General cargo, consists of 7 berths of combined length

Shinsundae Container Terminal Pusan
 Shinsundae Container Terminal - Pusan, Korea Web site. The Shinsundae 
  Container Terminal was opened in June 26, 1991 to meet the requirements
  that accompanied the increase in container cargo coming into the Port of 
  Pusan.
  PECT has established itself as a main contributor towards the economic 
  development of the country by handling more than 30% of the Korea's 
  total container traffic.
  Total port area is over 1 million square meters and the port boasts an 
  overall quay length of 1200 meters, Annual Handling Capacity of 
  1,600,000 TEUs and a berthing capacity of 4 x 50,000 dwt container

  Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is a statutory board which was formed 
  on 2 Feb 96 by the establishment of the MPA Act (1996). 
  The MPA was formed by merging the Marine Department, the National 
  Maritime Board and the regulatory departments of the Port of Singapore 
  Authority. The MPA comes under the purview of the Ministry of 
  Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). 
  The MPA's key mission is to protect Singapore's strategic maritime 
  interests and to promote Singapore as a major port and international 
  maritime center.
  The Port of Singapore has played a critical role in the Republic's 
  transformation into a global trading power. Its strategic geographical 
  location is one of the crucial factors that have made Singapore into 
  the global hub for shipping that it is today. Other contributory factors 
  include a strong and stable government, good infrastructure, a 
  transparent legal system and state-of-the-art telecommunications. 
  The port's location at the crossroads of the main shipping routes has 
  facilitated the Republic's development into a principal centre for 
  shipping activities in Southeast Asia. It is a focal point for some 
  400 shipping lines linking Singapore to more than 700 ports in 130 
  countries worldwide. There are more than 800 ships in the port at any 
  one time. 
  MPA also represents Singapore in international organisations, such as:  
  International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH), International 
  Maritime Organisation (IMO), International Hydrographic Organisation
  (IHO), ASEAN Port Association (APA), International Association of 
  Maritime Economists (IAME).  
  A free port with minimal tariff protection, Singapore is well poised to 
  take advantage of the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) which is expected to 
  come into effect by the year 2003.

Sriracha Harbour, Thailand
 Sriracha Harbour, Thailand Web site. Sriracha Harbour, Thailand's first and 
  largest private port, is a deep water terminal designed principally for 
  handling all kinds of cargoes including containers. It is strategic 
  located in the centre of the Eastern Seaboard development region 
  coastline, natural sheltered by Koh Si Chang directly to the West.

Tanjung Pelepas Port
 Tanjung Pelepas Port - Malaysia Web site. Aptly billed as Malaysia's Port
  of the Future, the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) officially opened on 13th
  March 2000.
  The port is located in Tanjung Pelepas (from which the port's name is
  derived) in the state of Johor, at the Southern tip of Peninsular 
  Malaysia. PTP is destined to become an ideal transhipment hub because of 
  its strategic location at the confluence of major international 
  shipping routes. It will also be a haven for port-related industries as 
  PTP will be a free zone with abundant land for distriparks and other 
  warehousing requirements. PTP is being developed by Seaport Terminal
  (Johor) Sdn Bhd under a privatisation agreement signed on March 24, 1995 
  with the Malaysian Government and the Johor Port Authority.

Tanjung Perak Port
 Tanjung Perak Port - Indonesia Web site. The Port of Tanjung Perak is 
  one of the main gate way port of Indonesia. Tanjung Perak is the port of 
  Surabaya. It's position is between 112deg. 43' 22" east longitude and
  07deg. ll'54" south longitude. It is located in the strait of Madura.
  Muara Port is the principal port in East Java, and the main cargo 
  collection and distribution center for both the Province of East Java, and 
  the whole eastern archipelago of Indonesia. 
  The port is therefore the maritime transportation hub for the eastern 
  region of Indonesia, servicing both International and Interisland shipping 
  in the region. The harbour area comprises 1574.3 hectares of water area

Tomakomai Port
 Tomakomai Port - Japan Web site. The Tomakomai Port is is situated on 
  latitude 42°38'N and longitude 141°36'E. It is in the southwestern
  area of Hokkaido island 60km south-southeast of Sapporo, the capital of 
  the prefecture.
  Tomakomai Port is Japan's first large excavated port. This extensive port, 
  which currently consists of the eastern and western port areas, covers a 
  shoreline of 24 km and a port area of 14,200 ha. the port is an artificial 
  port built on a flat sandy beach facing the Pacific Ocean.
  The total volume of cargo handled at the Tomakomai Port in 1998 was
  79.85 million tons. the number and tonnage of commercial vessels entering 
  the port during that year was 11,462 i.e. 55,498,720 tons in total.

Xinghua International Container Terminal
 Xinghua International Container Terminal - China Web site. The 1.2 square 
  kilometre port has natural deep, silt-free waters with a 13.3 metre draught. 
  From its well sheltered harbour, round-the-clock service is provided to 
  international ocean-going vessels up to 35,000 deadweight tonnes. 
  The port was gazetted as a Class 1 International Port in November, 1996 by 
  the State Council. Operational in 1997, Phase 1 offers 3 multi-purpose 
  berths of 556 metres supported by a full range of modern, new port equipment.

Yokkaichi Port
 Yokkaichi Port - Japan Web site. Yokkaichi Port, located at Lat. 34° 57'N.
  and Long. 136°38'E. in the northwest of Ise Bay, is a good harbor 
  blessed with favorable natural environments, facing the Chita Peninsula 
  across the bay to the east and surrounded by the Ise Plains to the north, 
  west and south.
  The port was quick to cope with containerization of international ocean 
  transportation, starting container cargo handling in 1969. The recent 
  years have seen an increase in the number of container liners on the 
  routes linking Japan to North America,Southeast Australia, Southeast 
  Asia and other countries and areas.
  To meet ever-diversifying needs of physical distribution and to help 
  streamline cargo movements, the port continues to enlarge and improve its

Yokohama Port
 Yokohama Port - Japan Web site. The Port of Yokohama is located at 
  Lat. 35°20'28"N. Long. 139°37'43"E., on the northwestern edge of 
  Tokyo Bay. The north, west and south side of the port are surrounded by 
  gently rolling hills, leaving the east side alone open to the sea. This is 
  one of the reasons why Yokohama is regarded as a "natural port". 
  In addition to its natural assets, the Port of Yokohama is also 
  fully-equipped with necessary facilities such as breakwaters in both the 
  inner and outer parts of the port in order to protect the port from the 
  effects of winds and tides and to maintain the depth of pier side water.
  Overall port areas are covered by Port Area - 7,406.7 ha; Waterfront Area 
  - 2,734.5ha; Commercial Zone - 912.8ha; Industrial Zone - 1,707.6ha; 
  Scenic and Recreational Zone - 70.7ha and others - 37.8ha.
  In a single year (1997) the port handled 51, 897 incoming vessels,
  126.45 million tons of cargo and a Value of Trade of 11.159 trillion yen.

Yokosuka Port
 Yokosuka Port - Japan web site. The Port of Yokosuka is located at
  at the entrance to Tokyo Bay and continues to draw attention as the marine
  gateway to the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. That is because, if you 
  discharge your cargo at the Port of Yokosuka, it is only about one hour

  traveling further north by ship in the congested Tokyo Bay.
