Dunkirk Port
 Dunkirk Port - France Web site. The port extends over a 17 km 
  (10 miles) sea front on the North Sea. It includes two distinct sites:
  the Western Port, composed of an outer harbour and tidal basins and
  the Eastern Port, composed of an outer harbour and docks behind locks.

Fleetwood Port

  van Vlissingen is an independent group of companies offering a full
  range of services in port handling, warehousing, distribution, 
  chartering and logistics at the port of Vlissingen (Flushing) in the
  Netherlands. The company owns and operates two deepsea terminals -
  one at Sloe Harbour Vlissingen-Oost (Flushing East) and the other at

Gdynia Port
 Gdynia Port - Poland Web site. The Baltic Sea port of Gdynia has a total 
  site area of 240 hectares; a total quay length of 10 km; water depth
  at quays of between 6.5-13 m.; 40 berths; warehouse storage space of
  approx 230,000 sq. m. and open storage space of approx 400,000 sq. m.
  The main harbour entrance is 150 metres wide and has a water depth of
  14.1 metres. The outer breakwater extends for 2.5 km. Two main deep
  Water channels provide safe approach to Port Gdynia.

Gibraltar Port

  The port of Gibraltar is administered by the port department. Within
  the Government of Gibraltar the minister with responsibility for the

  Each year over 80,000 ships pass through the Gibraltar Straits making

Goole Port
 Goole Port - England Web site. The port of Goole is owned
  and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP) and is situated 50 
  miles (80km) from the sea, on the River Ouse. Goole is Britain's
  premier inland port.
  The port has direct access to national railway and inland-waterway
  networks, is within 2 miles (3.2km) of the M62 and M18 motorways and
  is less than one hour's drive from the industrial centres of the 
  north-west and the Midlands of England.  
  The port's facilities include 8 interlinked wet docks, providing 30
  berths, with direct connection to the Inland Waterway Network, and
  normal acceptance dimensions of vessel of: length 100 m., beam 24 m.,
  draught 5.5 m. and approximately 4,500 d.w.t.
  The port also has one ro-ro ramp for large indivisible abnormal loads
  of up to 450 tonnes.
  Constant water level allows ro-ro working on most berths.
  The port caters for every type of cargo, offering many general cargo
  berths as well as specialised terminals for the handling of
  containerised traffic, timber, bulks, cement, cereals, scrap metal

Göteborg (Gothenburg) Port
 Göteborg (Gothenburg) Port - Sweden Web site. The port of Göteborg 
  is on the west coast of Sweden in northern Europe. The exact position
  is 57°42'N. 11°56'E. 
  The port has grown up on the banks of the River Göta and its estuary,
  making it a combined river and sea port. The port is sheltered from
  the North Sea by the Danish mainland and two over-locking archipelagos.
  The maximum depth of water at berth is 19.6 metres (Oil Harbour) and
  12 metres (General Cargo Harbour). 
  The modern port facilities are concentrated on the northern bank of 
  the river mouth. Older facilities, for conventionally-handled traffic
  and passenger ferry traffic, are located three to four nautical miles
  further upstream. 
  The cargo shipped via the port is mostly containerized, even when 
  feeder vessels are used for transhipment via continental ports. There
  are also several deep-sea ro/ro services with special facilities for
  the transport of products such as earth-moving equipment, harvesters,
  helicopters and bulky cargo on ship's trailers. 
  Apart from containers, deep-sea cargo at Göteborg includes trade cars,
  oil, and fruit. Close to 280,000 trade cars were shipped in 1999 and
  Göteborg is by far the largest car port in the Nordic region. The oil
  handled at the port is both crude and refined; there are three oil 
  refineries at Göteborg and several oil companies have national 
  depots there.

  of 11,955 metres. Total port land area is approximately 4.5 million

Grimsby Port
 Grimsby Port - England Web site. The port of Grimsby is owned

  than 10km from the open sea, on the south bank of the River Humber,

Hamburg Port - Germany

  open sea, the port on the river Elbe is accessible even to the 
  largest ships. Bulk carriers of up to 250,000 dwt carrying up to 
  135,000  of cargo can be handled in Hamburg. Early in 1996 the first
  6,000-teu container ships sailed up the Elbe to the port.
  The port of Hamburg has 310 berths, 48 km of quay wall for oceangoing 
  ships, around 200 container bridges, cranes and grab-cargo cranes 
  (some computer-controlled) and nearly 30 siphons for grain and fodder.
  The port of Hamburg is among Europe's leading distribution centres. 
  It has 3 million sqm of covered storage space for, among other things, 
  coffee, cocoa, tea, chemicals and bulk general cargo. There are silo
  and storage capacities for around 700,000 tonnes of grain, oil seed,
  fodder and other suction goods, some 350,00 sqm of storage sites for
  ores, coal, fertilizers and the like, some 2.4 million cbm of tank-

  In 1999, Ipswich port handled 2.4 million tonnes of cargo. The port's

Kings Lynn Port
 Kings Lynn Port - England web site. The port of King's Lynn is owned
  and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP) and is situated in 
  an ideal location on the east coast of England, halfway between the 
  Humber and the Haven, which is convenient for Norfolk, Cambridgeshire,
  the Midlands and Lincolnshire. 
  Yhere are multiple berth options in the enclosed docks and at 
  Riverside Quay. A total of 16 berths are available.
  Riverside quay, which is 220m in length, is a tidal facility 
  constructed in 1992. It can accommodate vessels of 4,500 - 5,000 dwt.
  Alexandra and Bentinck docks offer 10 general working berths, 
  accommodating vessels up to 4,000 dwt. as well as three tanker berths
  for vessels up to 100 m. length.
  Cargoes catered for by King's Lynn include containers, the port has
  the equipment and capability to handle feeder unit load services. A 
  combination of 35-tonne harbour mobile mobile cranage, heavy-duty 
  fork lift trucks, and a fleet of mafi trailers can provide an 
  efficient service on either a `one-off' or regular basis
  dry-bulk handling is a speciality of the port. The rapid turnround of
  vessels using high-capacity hydraulic excavator mobile appliances is
  the foundation of the port's success. A wide range of import dry bulk
  including cereals, coal, fertilisers and stone, is handled annually.

  feedstuffs for export by mobile elevation

Klaipeda Seaport - Lithuania
 Klaipeda Seaport - Lithuania Web site. Klaipeda state seaport is the
  northernmost ice-free port on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea and
  connects the principal sea land routes in the west - east direction.
  The port is linked by good railways and motorways to Belarus, Russia,

Liepaja Port
