Benoi Shipyard: the following docks are provided at this facility:
Syncrolift I (96m x 19m) with a lifting capacity of 4,000 tonnes and
docks vessels of up to 10,000 dwt
Syncrolift II (96m x 19m) with a lifting capacity of 6,000 tonnes and
docks vessels of up to 12,500 dwt
The yard also boasts 15,000 sqm wharf space, over 500m in length to
support afloat operations, diesel engine workshop and seven covered
workshops which cover the full range of repair requirements.
Tuas Shipyard: the following docks are provided at this facility:
Floating dock one (Jubilee I) 185m x 33.2m, docks vessels of up to
40,000 dwt, lifting capacity of 17,000 tonnes.
Floating dock two (Jubilee II) 240m x 42.25m, docks vessels of up to
70,000 dwt, lifting capacity of 28,000 tonnes.
The yard also boasts two x 250m finger piers supported by travelling
cranes, floating crane of up to 100 tons lifting capacity and four
covered workshops which cover the full range of repair requirements.

of Auckland, Babcock provides a comprehensive range of on-site skills

The Babcock Marine Services management team is committed to delivering
the most effective and timely engineering support, providing each
customer with quality solutions. Each vessel is allocated a dedicated
manager for the duration of the project. Project managers are supported

In addition to their on-site capabilities, Babcock is able to offer

Docking facilities are as follows:
Calliope Dock is New Zealand's largest, with facilities for ships up
to 180 metres LOA and 24.3 metres beam. All necessary reticulation
services are provided to the dock. Travelling crane capacity is up
to 40 tonne lift with 24 tonnes at the centre of the dock. Two
mobile cranes with lifting capacities of 50 tonnes and 20 tonnes
compliment these. A travelling dock arm system has recently been
integrated into the dock system speeding waterblasting and painting
operations considerably.
Adjacent repair berths are available to complete essential non-drydocking
operations. Other services include repair, maintenance and installation of
propulsion equipment, mechanical systems, marine engines, electrical &
distribution systems, communication systems, navigation systems,
hydrographic and oceanographic systems, pipework & forgings, fabrication,
machining, preservation and coatings, specialist technical services and

Dorbyl Marine web site. Based in Durban, South Africa with facilities
in Cape Town. Dorbyl Marine can undertake all your above the water line
repairs. With around 3000 square meters of wharf space served by a 50 ton
crane, this private 190 m long deep water quay is within the yard confines.
All services are available. The steel fabrication shop with a shop area 1020
square meters and overhead 10 ton crane contains equipment including brake
press, guillotine, frame bending machine, rolls and hydraulic press.
Prefabricated steel sections are made together with repairs and fairing of
items. The machine shop has a shop area 4080 square meters with overhead
cranage of 2 x 25 tons, 1 x 10 and 1 x 5 tons. Heavy shop plant includes
planer, vertical and horizontal borers, slotters and lathes. Light shop
plant includes lathes, milling and drilling machines. The pipe shop has a
shop area of 893 square meters and overhead cranage of 5 tons. repair or
renewal of pipework systems in materials such as steel, stainless steel,
copper, yorcallbro, cunifer, and pvc. New piping can be hot and cold formed
or fabricated. Pipe systems include water, oil, hydraulic and pneumatic.

been in operation since 1977 and is family owned and operated. The yard is
a leader in the industry for the western pacific region.
Much of their business comes from Pacific Island Nation Vessels and they
routinely drydock vessels from Papua New Guinea, yap, truk, the Marshall
Islands, Pohnpei, Taiwan, Japan, Tahiti and the Solomon Islands.
Tropical Reef Shipyard maintains the latest in equipment and machinery to
make sure your vessel spends the minimum amount of time out of the water.
Facilities include:
3,000 tonne slipway maximum length of vessel 95 metres, beam 19 metres
and draft of 7 metres. Other facilities include: a 350 tonne floating
drydock, two 100 tonne slipways, deepwater fitting out berths to accommodate
up to seven vessels with all facilities available, i.e. shore power,
cranage, etc. two workboats for vessel movements, four cranes - one 90 tonne,
one 70 tonne, one 20 tonne and one 8 tonne, one ten tonne forklift, four
manlifts with a reach of 22 metres, all equipment on site for gritblasting
and spray painting, full machine shop, computerised propeller bench for
repitching, repairing and balancing propellers, ultrasonic thickness
testing, full range of woodwork machinery and five offices for ship's
superintendents with private metered phone lines.
The yard operates 24 hours a day, six days a week to ensure a vessel has as
short an amount of down-time as possible.
TRS advertise that they are fully aware that time in dry-dock for ship
owners must be kept to the absolute minimum. Their labour rates are set at
a flat rate, no extra charges are applied for overtime, other than work on
Sundays. The yard is situated 4 kilometres from the business centre of
